…is dedicated to improving the quality of interpersonal relationships and to spreading the joy of life. We implement programs in the field of psychotherapy (individual and couples therapeutic counselling), personal growth, meaning of life, mediation and education for young people, businessmen, teachers and civil servants. We have developed psychosocial help programs for incarcerated individuals and “street work” programs.

Primary School Krmelj was founded by the Municipality of Sevnica with the Ordinance on establishing a public educational institution in the municipality of Sevnica. Enrolled students come from RC (regional community) Krmelj and locations nearby.

Primary school Krmelj offers two programs: primary and pre-school program.

Lessons take place at two locations, separated by a distance of 1 km. The building located at 104 Krmelj offers education to pupils from 1st to 5th grade, and the other location to students from 5th to 9th grade. Pre-school is organized in seven classrooms. The school and the nursery maintain high-quality education and promote respect for others, thus enabling personal growth of the students and contributing to everyone’s overall satisfaction.

Most of the activities related to the framework of Preventive Mosaic Posavje will be implemented by our school and nursery counsellors.

School Advisory Service is working with everyone involved in the educational process; it supports personal progress and development and gives advice to pupils, parents and teachers concerning:

–learning disabilities,

–special needs,

– gifted individuals,

– preventive workshops in the field of drug abuse,

– safety, self-esteem, non-violence and other social skills and interpersonal relationships,

– socio-economic problems.

Work of a pre-school counsellor involves:

– advisory work with children;

– advisory work with teachers and teacher assistants;

– advisory work with parents;

– cooperation with the management of the preschool and external institutions and

– professional training.

Counselling involves everyday life and work in a pre-school:

–play and language process;

– culture, education and house rules in the nursery;

– child’s physical, personal (cognitive and emotional) and social development of the child;

– admission, adaptation process and transition form pre-school to primary school;

– Socio-economic problems.

Education, Training and Mediation Institute

Active in the field of promotion of education (with a focus on lifelong learning), the institute improves the quality of life and promotes social responsibility through educational activities (in the form of workshops, seminars etc.), mediation, active involvement in the fields of conflict resolution, social connectivity, care for risk groups and through various development projects and creative work.

Fields of work: work with (predominately young) unemployed individuals, workshops and seminars in the field of conflict resolution, mediation, personal growth.

Within the project Preventive mosaic Posavje, 3 employees of the Health Care Centre Krško will be implementing the preventive pilot project at one of the elementary schools in the municipality of Krško. The project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and protective factors in childhood. They want to raise awareness among the students of higher grades about the harmful effects of alcohol and other psychoactive substances.
